Nature of Work
Lead practices and swim meets for youth swimmers in a fun, supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and personal growth.
Essential Functions
Teach stroke technique, guide daily practices, and promote positive team culture
Supervise swimmers to ensure safety and maintain an encouraging atmosphere
Coach at all meets, provide constructive feedback, and support swimmers throughout the season
Examples of Work Performed
Designing engaging practice sessions and demonstrating proper technique
Offering individualized corrections and track swimmer progress
Coordinate relays, meet logistics, and team‑building moments
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of all four competitive strokes and how to teach them
Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with youth athletes
Clear communication, leadership, and calm decision‑making in emergencies
Minimum Qualifications
American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate (current)
CPR and First Aid Certificationed
