2017 Meet Schedule and Calendar

Parents, meets, and required participation
We need your help!!  Home meets require the participation of swimmers AND parents.  Parent volunteers are needed to do a variety of jobs.

Aside from timing, several people are needed to train for various official positions. Are you interested in becoming a meet referee, meet director, score keeper, or a stroke and turn judge? Please make sure to get training and certification ahead of the season’s start. There are several opportunities; VPSU official clinics are listed on the VPSU web site.  We are required to have all of these positions filled or we aren’t able to host meets.

For HOME meets, swimmers meet at the pool at 4:00 pm.

For AWAY meets, swimmers meet at 5:00 pm. ALL meets start at 6:00 pm. For Driving Directions to away meets, please visit the VPSU Team Info and Pool Directions Webpage.

For every home meet, each family is expected to sign-up to bring baked goodies, fruit, salads, etc. and bottled water or soda for concessions. Please have your baked goodies bagged and ready to sell.

VPSU Official’s Clinics

Clinics are listed on the VPSU web site.

Please Note: The Board of Directors has approved a policy that allows USA Swimming Certified Officials not to have to attend VPSU Stroke and Turn training if they will be serving as a Stroke and Turn Judge at VPSU Meets. The certified USA Swimming Officials must provide a copy of their current Work Card to AND PRIOR to the first VPSU Officials Clinic if they wish to serve as an S&T Judge at any VPSU meets. If they do not submit their card and wish to serve as an S&T Judge, they must attend an S&T clinic to be certified to officiate VPSU meets. This exemption does not apply to USA Swimming Certified Officials if they will be serving as a Referee or Starter at VPSU meets, regardless their USA Swimming certification.

Team Swimsuits

Our team swimsuit is a custom suit with our Manta Ray logo by Agonswim. We encourage swimmers to purchase the team suit, but it is not required. We ask that you consider a plain black or purple suit if you are not wearing a team suit.  We would like to have a swim suit swap. If your swimmer(s) has outgrown their suit(s), please bring them to the first practice to buy, sell or trade!
